A week of sports & team building with AthletiKids!

Join us this summer as we explore team sports without the pressure of being the fastest, tallest, most-outgoing, most athletic. At our camp, we highlight the many aspects that go into team sports, including: sport skills, mindfulness, win//loss analysis, breathing & regulating our emotions, creativity & adaptability, and of course…friendship!

Together, we create a an inspiring team of athletes who are goal focused and understanding of each others’ differences. We are problem solvers and creative thinkers, all striving to have the best week of camp possible with our new friends by our side.

Whats included in your registration:

  • 6-hour days jam packed with sports, team building & art
  • DIY AthletiKids Camp T-Shirt
  • Award Ceremony + Certificate Presentation (last day of camp)
  • Skills Showcase (1:30-2:30pm last day of camp with families)
  • take-home arts & crafts throughout the week

Extended care if needed: *8:30am-9am + 3pm-4pm (1.5 hours total) for extra cost $60 full week, $25 half days (8:30-9am full week)

  • Outdoor exploring

We acknowledge that our time spent in camp together is situated on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Before each day we acknowledge and give thanks to the land, trees, grass, and ocean around us and our communities. This is an outdoor camp and we are prepared for whatever elements are brought our way during our time together.

  • Creativity

We build art INTO our sports camp. WHY? Because we talk a lot about regulating our bodies and celebrating our differences, and what better what to do that than to make art. Through painting, slime making and crafts, we can calm down after a high-energy game, and remind ourselves that resting and relaxing is JUST as important as scoring goals and winning soccer games.

  • How to Lose like a Winner

Losing sucks, and doesn’t feel too good. We spend the first part of the week acknowledging the feelings that come up when we lose, and talk about it! Our summer camp win-loss analysis is truly one of the most special things to witness during our week together. Through lots of hand-holding, trust-building and examples….children shift the pain of losing into the mind of a winner as they develop new skills in their sport toolbox to manage the tough side of losing in sports.

  • Play Time

With the support of our amazing coaches, your child will have plenty of down time between big sport activities as a way to decompress and also put their friendship and ‘teammate skills’ into practice in real time. We’re always close by to assist if conflicts arise, but allowing the kids to trust their team and care for one another is a beautiful thing to watch unfold as friendships forms and bonds are strengthened. We make room 1x per day to enjoy the park & play structures

  • Lots of Cheering

Its a proven method by now - cheering for your teammates helps them up when they fall, helps them run faster than they thought they ever could…plus is feels good to cheer for your friends. Expect some fun and silly cheers to keep your team smiling all week long.

  • Making Friends

We focus on thoughtfulness and the importance of kindness for our teammates in everything we do at camp.

We work in groups with varying ages, giving kids practice and patience to work with kids younger than them, and giving our littles a chance to play with the big kids.

As a team we will face many challenges & learnings.... all which help us form unforgettable bonds and friendships.
